RECORDING SESSION "LIFE ON MARS" WITH MIKE GARSON

After the death of David Bowie, Maria performed a very original re-interpretation of “Life on Mars” with Mike Garson, her friend and great pianist, “Bowie's Piano Man”. They worked in Los Angeles producing a unique and touching track, characterized by the powerful soprano voice of Maria and the masterly performance of Mike.

 

Mike Garson is an American pianist, who has worked, among others, with David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Billy Corgan, Free Flight, and The Smashing Pumpkins. A comprehensive biography of his life and career to date was published by Fantom (UK) in 2015, under the title Bowie's Piano Man: The Life of Mike Garson, written by a fellow pianist Clifford Slapper.

 

Maria and Mike Garson are still working together developing other original music projects.
